Job Summary
Project Engineer II responsible for the design and delivery of electrical, control, and communication systems for water and wastewater automation projects. Translate customer requirements into precise engineering solutions, produce high-quality technical documentation, mentor design teams, and provide expert support across project lifecycles. Design moderately complex electrical, control, and communication systems; interpret specifications into scope and deliverables; manage engineering drawings, BOMs, and customer documentation; collaborate with Project Managers and stakeholders; ensure compliance with Tesco standards and procedures; demonstrate strong schematic reading and manufacturing workflow knowledge; support estimation, sales, fabrication, testing, installation, and commissioning activities.
Required Qualifications
- B.S. in Electrical Engineering (BSEE)
- PE license preferred
- 5–15 years of electrical and controls design experience
- 4–8 years of automation system design and analysis experience
- Proficiency in AutoCAD/AutoCAD Electrical
- Strong ability to read, interpret, and design electrical schematics
Desired Qualifications
- B.S. in Electrical Engineering (BSEE)
- PE license preferred
- 5–15 years of electrical and controls design experience
- 4–8 years of automation system design and analysis experience
- Proficiency in MS Office, Adobe Acrobat, and AutoCAD/AutoCAD Electrical
- Strong ability to read, interpret, and design electrical schematics
- Experience in regulated industries preferred
- Ability to mentor design teams and collaborate with Project Managers
