Job Summary
Project Engineer II at Milwaukee Tool leads small to medium scale engineering projects, executes design changes, derivative tool releases, and maintains existing products. Works cross-functionally with Quality & Reliability Engineering, Purchasing, Finance, Service & Support, Marketing, and other departments to evaluate designs, resolve material and process issues, develop project plans, track progress, and provide updates to senior management. Responsibilities include testing per established procedures, data interpretation for design recommendations, stress and vibration analyses, material and heat-treatment selections, tolerance and deviation analysis, lubricant properties, DFMA considerations, and collaboration with suppliers to meet performance while controlling costs. Requires a BS in Engineering (Mechanical preferred) and 4+ years of experience; CAD proficiency (Unigraphics/Pro-E preferred); ability to travel ~15% and manage multiple projects; PMP/CAPM is a plus.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering or educational equivalent is required.
- Preferred degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- Minimum of 4 years of relevant working experience.
- Ability to travel internationally & domestically (15% travel)
- Ability to manage several simultaneous projects
- Strong problem-solving skills and understanding of design, testing, and manufacturing processes
- Ability to use CAD; Unigraphics or Pro-E preferred
