Job Summary
Project Engineer II (Land Development) provides engineering support to project teams, gaining experience with the ability to take on tasks without supervision; responsible for understanding, designing and independently preparing technical engineering plans, collaborating with technicians, performing civil design calculations, and coordinating with private consultants and public agencies. Key duties include developing working drawings for civil design plans in AutoCAD Civil 3D (grading, drainage, utilities, stormwater management, street frontage improvements), applying engineering judgment, managing time across multiple projects (budget, quality, schedule), producing on-site and off-site improvement designs ready for construction for commercial/industrial/high-density residential projects, performing SWPPP and other engineering reports, and interacting with peers, clients, and sub-consultants; requires a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent and 5+ years of land development experience, plus an EIT or PE license in CA.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent
- 5+ years of land development experience
- Engineering in training (EIT) or Professional Engineering License, CA
- Experience with AutoCAD required
- Additional software experience a plus (Bluebeam, Agtek, Hydrology/Hydraulic Software, AutoCad Civil 3D)
