Job Summary
Lead small to medium-sized engineering projects from initiation through completion, defining scope, objectives, deliverables, timelines, and resource requirements. Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, risk assessments, and mitigation plans while designing, developing, and implementing automation, controls, manufacturing, and process-improvement solutions. Conduct feasibility studies, technical evaluations, and root-cause analyses to support engineering decisions and collaborate with cross-functional teams including Manufacturing, Quality, Supply Chain, Operations, and R&D. Support equipment specifications, procurement, installation, validation, and production ramp-up activities, ensuring compliance with company standards, industry regulations, safety requirements, and quality systems. Mentor junior engineers and technicians by providing technical guidance and project support.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, Automation Engineering, or a related technical discipline
- 3–5 years of experience in project engineering, automation engineering, manufacturing engineering, or a related technical role
- Proven experience managing engineering projects from concept development through implementation and production release
- Strong understanding of engineering principles, manufacturing processes, industrial automation, and controls systems
- Experience with PLC programming, HMI development, industrial networking, motion control, robotics, or machine integration
- Proficiency with CAD software such as SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Creo, or equivalent engineering design tools
- Strong project management skills including planning, scheduling, budgeting, and risk management
- Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and coordinate multiple priorities simultaneously
- Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present technical information to diverse audiences
- Ability to work independently and effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in assembly manufacturing, medical devices, or other high-volume manufacturing environments
- Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement methodologies
- Experience with equipment validation, IQ/OQ/PQ protocols, and process qualification activities
- Knowledge of MES systems, vision systems, robotics, and data acquisition platforms
