Job Summary
Project Engineer I supports planning, coordination, and execution of the engineering aspects of product development projects. Responsibilities include developing and maintaining project plans, schedules, and budgets; providing technical support to project teams; preparing regular status reports; identifying and mitigating project risks; maintaining design specifications, test plans, and meeting minutes; and collaborating with engineering, manufacturing, and quality teams to ensure timely delivery. Growth opportunities focus on gaining hands-on experience in project management and technical coordination within the IAS aerospace/defense portfolio, including C4ISR capabilities, end-to-end design, integration, testing, and logistics support. Preferred familiarity with project management tools (e.g., MS Project, JIRA), INCOSE practices, and reading technical drawings and schematics. Occasional travel and hybrid office work are expected. Essential functions include working in an office or hybrid environment, and ability to handle travel to field locations with safety awareness.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field
- 8+ years' experience in engineering roles
- Experience working in multi-disciplinary design and development team
- Knowledge of engineering principles and practice
- Basic understanding of requirements management, system design, and integration
