Job Summary

Lead project coordination by developing and maintaining project plans, schedules, and budgets, then iterate and revise these artifacts during execution to account for changes. Support technical reviews including PDR, CDR, and weekly IPTs while enforcing the creation and formal release of technical documentation and program artifacts. Manage risk by identifying potential issues, documenting them, and assisting in developing mitigation plans. Maintain accurate design specifications, test plans, and meeting minutes while leading cross-functional teams to solve problems ranging from one-week projects to multi-year development efforts. This entry-level role supports planning, coordination, and execution of engineering aspects of product development projects within the Mission Solutions and Technologies business area.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field
  • 8+ years' experience in engineering roles
  • Higher level relevant degree may substitute for experience
  • Knowledge of engineering principles and practice
  • Experience working in multi-disciplinary design and development team
  • Strong leadership skills and confidence to delegate tasking
  • Basic understanding of requirements management, system design, and integration
  • Ability to Obtain & Maintain a Top Secret U.S. Security Clearance
  • U.S. Citizenship status
  • Active Secret or Top Secret U.S. Security Clearance

Desired Qualifications

  • 2-4 years relevant leadership and/or project management experience
  • Familiarity with development and manufacture of electronics assemblies and systems
  • Familiarity with project management software (e.g., MS Project, JIRA)
  • Experience leading a multi-disciplinary design and development team and communicating with program management and customers
  • Familiarity with preparation and development of project estimates, technical proposals, and program cost and schedule management
  • Past history of leading baseline definition and maturation in a complex development setting, including the use of highly integrated trade studies and analysis of alternative
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics, parts lists, specifications, instructions and test procedure
  • Experience or certification in International Council on Systems Engineering (INCOSE) standard
  • Background in the Aerospace and Defense Industry
