Job Summary
Hands-on project engineering role in heavy civil construction, exposing engineers to bridges, highways, rail, and utility installations. Responsibilities include providing technical engineering and cost information to ensure compliance with engineering standards; interpret drawings for craft workers; assist with job controls (contract, budget, schedule, forecasting, and job costing); prepare drawings and sketches for change orders and estimates; support material controls (delivery dates, construction schedules, design requirements); develop data for estimates and bids; generate documentation such as status reports, punch lists, and material calculations; travel/relocation as required. Proficiency with MS Office and AGTEK Take-off, strong communication, and safety compliance are required.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Business Administration, or related field preferred, or equivalent combinations of technical training and related experience
- 0-1 years of experience in construction estimating support, engineering, field support, or similar experience
- Proficiency with MS Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
- Working knowledge of AGTEK Take-off software
- Valid driver’s license and ability to drive a company vehicle
