Job Summary
Project Engineer I supports project management and field supervision to ensure safe, on-time, and on-budget construction projects from initial budget through closeout. Responsibilities include estimating and budgeting, value engineering, facilitating subcontractor bids, processing and tracking documentation, negotiating subcontracts and material buyouts, planning and scheduling projects, managing ongoing costs with labor, material, and equipment, and ensuring quality and safety on every job; requires collaboration with team members and external stakeholders, with an emphasis on customer satisfaction, communication, and adhere to safety practices.
Required Qualifications
- B.S. in Construction, Engineering, or related field preferred
- Prior Co-Op / Internship experience in construction field preferred
- Strong written and verbal communication
- Self motivated with ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Detail oriented
