Job Summary
Mortenson seeks a Project Engineer I to interpret project plans for subcontractors, implement the pre-construction quality plan, obtain and maintain construction permits, and manage multiple documentation and tracking tasks (Material Tracking List, Project Test and Inspection Listing, Concrete Placement Log, Non-Conformance Report). The role involves coordinating submittals, RFIs, and Change Orders; establishing and distributing contract documents; managing electronic document handling; ensuring quality management through testing and inspection; mentoring field engineers, coordinating safety and compliance, and maintaining the project schedule. Strong collaboration, communication, and problem-solving skills are essential, as is a Bachelor’s degree in a related field and a valid driver’s license. Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction, Civil, or Architectural Engineering or Construction Management
- Minimum of two years related construction experience

- Possess basic understanding of construction law and generally accepted business practices
- Strong teamwork orientation, initiative, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Proven positive and professional attitude and customer service skills
- Current driver’s license
