Job Summary
Project Engineer I will interpret project plans for subcontractors and craft persons; implement the pre-construction quality plan; obtain and maintain construction permits; manage documentation and tracking (Material Tracking List, Project Test and Inspection Listing, Concrete Placement Log, Non-Conformance Reports); manage submittals, RFIs, and Change Orders; coordinate subcontractor details and insurance; mentor field engineers; coordinate safety and compliance; maintain project schedules and ensure timely completion; develop reporting formats and closeout procedures; communicate effectively with the Project Manager, Superintendent, customers, and architects to resolve issues and keep projects on track.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction, Civil, or Architectural Engineering or Construction Management
- Minimum of two years related construction experience
- Detail orientation sufficient to organize and effectively manage multiple tasks
- Possess basic understanding of construction law and generally accepted business practices
- Strong teamwork orientation, initiative, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Proven positive and professional attitude and customer service skills
- Current driver’s license
