Job Summary
Manage project execution by developing procurement schedules, integrating them with the project CPM schedule, and procuring necessary materials and equipment. Coordinate submittals with other trades, review all submittals for compliance with contract documents, and administer budgeting and cost control processes to ensure projects complete within the approved budget. Maintain "As-built" contract documents, compile close-out requirements including operation and maintenance manuals, and prepare change orders, time extensions, and cost control budget adjustments. Prevent and resolve claims by identifying potential issues, quantifying impacts, and mitigating effects on a timely basis. Supervise and train Field Engineers, prepare meeting minutes, maintain project logs, and ensure compliance with all safety standards and procedures.
Required Qualifications
- An advanced knowledge of construction engineering technology, codes, standards, etc.
- In-depth understanding of the interdependence and relationship between other functional units
- Four-year construction-related degree
- Equivalent technical training
- Related experience
- Minimum of three to four years of similar construction engineering experience
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Demonstrated ability to manage a team of varied disciplines
- Skill/ability to supervise and/or train Field Engineer positions if so required
- Ability to wear personal protective equipment
- Must be able to comply with all safety standards and procedures
