Job Summary
Conduct early-stage design for solar PV, BESS, and EV infrastructure projects using Helioscope and AutoCAD, producing CAD drawings, line-side tap details, and PE-stamped sets. Process submittals and RFIs through Procore, manage procurement against the construction schedule, and support utility interconnection and permitting. Perform site visits to verify installations, conduct DC string testing and IR surveys, maintain as-built redlines, and coordinate project closeout to the O&M Ready standard. Split time between design and active field work with guidance from a Senior Project Engineer.
Required Qualifications
- 0–4 years in solar PV, construction, or a related engineering field
- internship or academic project experience acceptable for entry-level applicants
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related technical field
- Working knowledge of Helioscope, PVSyst, AutoCAD, and Procore
- Understanding of NEC and solar PV components
- Able to read construction drawings, structural plans, and single-line diagrams
- Comfortable splitting time between design/office and active field work
- Strong communication across clients, contractors, utilities, and AHJs
