Job Summary
The Project Engineer I position focuses on entry-level engineering duties related to the management of large commercial construction projects. Responsibilities include notifying subcontractors of commencement dates, preparing quantity take-offs for proposed changes, and maintaining logs for materials and submittals. The role involves assisting in the verification of subcontractor payment requests, responding to RFIs, and compiling close-out documents. Candidates must hold a B.S. in a related field and possess strong communication skills to interact with various construction professionals. Internship experience in a construction setting is strongly preferred.
Required Qualifications
- B.S. in construction management/science, engineering, or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience
Desired Qualifications
- Internship experience with a construction company strongly preferred
- Successful completion of OSHA 30-Hour Construction Industry Outreach Training required (may obtain within first year of employment)
