Job Summary
Oversee development and implementation of major capital projects, managing the full lifecycle from scoping to closeout for substation builds, grid modernization, and Advanced Metering Infrastructure initiatives. Coordinate all project phases including financial estimates, schedule management, and risk reporting while ensuring adherence to scope, budget, and safety targets. Lead procurement of major station equipment, manage vendor deliverables, and facilitate drawing review meetings with consultants and external stakeholders such as Hydro One and IESO. Provide technical input for engineering standards and commercial specifications, directly engaging customers to execute the large load connection process. Independently track monthly financial actuals and forecast budgets in collaboration with the CFO division.
Required Qualifications
- Undergraduate degree in Engineering from an accredited university
- Professional Engineer, licensed or able to be licensed in the province of Ontario
- English language skills essential, both oral and written
- Valid Driver's license - Class G
- Successful completion of Driver Competency Assessment
- Applicants must be legally entitled to work in Canada
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in a utility environment
- Project Management and System Planning experience
- PMP designation
- Experience with Asset Management model
- Knowledge of ISO55000
- Strong computer skills; proficient in the use of office productivity and collaboration tools, preferably Google Workspace and Microsoft Office
- Bilingualism (French/English) or other languages
