Job Summary
Project Engineer responsible for acting as main engineering contact for customers and tooling suppliers, analyzing customer prints and tool quotation requests, preparing tool quotations, procuring tooling, ensuring tools are designed and built per requirements for a robust manufacturing process, conducting design and preliminary tool reviews with a multi-disciplinary team, placing and expediting tool purchase orders, conducting pre/post-sampling meetings, advising the Project Manager on approvals or deviations, and supporting Sales in prototyping, design recommendations, and mold simulations; requires CAD proficiency (SolidWorks), Moldex 3D experience, strong communication, travel ability (domestic and international), and a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related apprenticeship/2-year degree with 3-5 years of mold injection experience.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Plastics Technology, or completion of a related apprenticeship or a 2- year technical degree plus 5 years of related working experience
- 3-5 years of plastic mold injection experience
- Strong computer skills in CAD (preferably SolidWorks) Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook
