Project Engineer

Job Summary
Oversee engineering project design, equipment procurement, and implementation for incoming Hitec DRUPS and special project orders. Prepare technical specifications for procurement, review and approve submittal drawings, and witness factory and site tests for procured equipment. Direct all project design changes, including PLC programming updates, and conduct customer training. Liaise with customer site engineers to ensure proper machine integration and indirectly supervise on-site commissioning teams. Provide engineering support to the sales department by reviewing customer specifications, obtaining price quotes, and attending meetings with prospective customers. Travel approximately 2-3 trips per month for site work.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to project a professional attitude
- Highly motivated and willing to learn in areas where deficient
- Basic knowledge of mechanical systems/engine operation
- Team oriented - willing to step outside of job description when required
- Willingness to travel Approximately 2-3 trips per month, average of 2-3 days duration per trip with increases possible during commissionings
- Weekend travel is rare but can occur
