Project Engineer - Highway

Job Summary
Lead the development of transportation project plans and assemble complete design packages for public infrastructure projects within the Transportation Division. Manage and mentor staff while serving as a task lead, performing quality control reviews on engineering deliverables. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to attend and lead meetings with public and private clients, representing the firm at industry and professional society events. Requires a PE, 5-10 years of progressive roadway engineering experience, and proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D or Bentley OpenRoads Designer. Base salary includes a performance-based incentive plan.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering
- PE Required
- 5-10 years of progressive roadway engineering analysis and design experience
- Proficient with Microsoft Office 365 software such as Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Proficient in AutoCAD Civil 3D and/or Bentley OpenRoads Designer
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent organization and attention to detail
- Ability to effectively participate as part of a project team, develop and maintain client relations, and meet project demands and schedules
Desired Qualifications
- Project experience with State DOT's required and municipal experience a plus
- Multi-modal and Complete Streets design experience a plus
- Business Development experience preferred
- Public presentation experience preferred
- Experience with proposal writing, scope of work development, and budgeting
