Job Summary
Lead and execute capital projects from planning through implementation, managing the site capital spending program including annual planning, forecasting, and monthly spending targets. Scope and estimate projects up to $5M, author expenditure requests, and coordinate procurement across vendors and contractors. Interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications to design, evaluate, and troubleshoot systems related to instruments, controls, mechanical, thermal, hydraulic, or heat transfer processes. Execute projects safely with minimal operational impact, support commissioning and startup activities, and communicate status to leadership. This role supports capital initiatives at a secondary regional facility and drives improvements to manufacturing processes and infrastructure. The position is based in Kent, WA, with a salary range of $85,354 – $146,320.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in chemical, mechanical, electrical, or civil engineering
- At least 5 years of relevant engineering or related experience
- Experience managing capital projects or project engineering responsibilities in a manufacturing environment
- Experience leading or working within multi-disciplinary teams
- Working knowledge of engineering disciplines, including instrumentation, electrical, civil, mechanical, and chemical
- Ability to interpret engineering and construction drawings
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
