Job Summary
Senior Project Engineer for a heavy civil construction team in Stockton, CA. Responsible for project planning and coordination including scheduling (Weekly resource scheduling, 3 Week Look Ahead, CPM), coordinating with Foreman, Superintendents, and subcontractors, performing pre-costing activities, and managing cost reports (accounts receivable/payable). Supports safety management by conducting site safety surveys, monitoring subcontractor safety performance, and enforcing safety policies. Requirements include an undergraduate degree in Construction Management or Civil Engineering (or equivalent), 3–7 years of heavy civil experience (Sr. Project Engineer 4–7 years; Project Engineer 3–5 years), ability to read plans and specifications, proficiency with Microsoft Office, strong written and verbal communication, ability to coordinate with subs, and willingness to pass pre-employment drug and alcohol screening with the ability to work day and night shifts as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Undergraduate degree in Construction Management or Civil Engineering or equivalent
- Sr. Project Engineer: 4-7 years experience OR Project Engineer: 3-5 years experience
- Experience coordinating work with subcontractors
- Ability to read and understand Plans and Specifications
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Ability to pass pre-employment drug and alcohol screening
- Ability to work day and night shifts if needed
Desired Qualifications
