Project Engineer – Heavy Civil Construction (Travel to Houston)

Job Summary

Assist the Project Manager and Superintendent with day-to-day project execution, including preparing and tracking RFIs, submittals, change orders, and project documentation. Coordinate subcontractors, vendors, suppliers, and field crews while monitoring project schedules to ensure milestones are achieved. Review plans, specifications, and contract documents, assist with quantity tracking and cost control, and support procurement activities and material deliveries. Participate in project meetings, maintain accurate minutes, ensure documentation is complete, and promote a strong safety culture on all job sites. Build strong working relationships with owners, engineers, inspectors, and stakeholders. This role requires 2+ years of construction experience and willingness to travel throughout Texas. Company-paid lodging, meals, a truck, and gas card are provided during assignments.

  • 2+ years of construction experience (internships and co-ops considered)

  • Concrete structures
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
  • Willingness to travel and work on projects throughout Texas
