Project Engineer (Heap Leach)

Job Summary
Lead multiple concurrent cross-functional studies from Initial Assessment through Feasibility stages, developing scopes and managing specialist consultant engagements to ensure timely, budget-compliant delivery. Coordinate multidisciplinary engineering activities for mining, processing, and infrastructure projects, sourcing internal and external technical resources while developing study schedules, work plans, and budgets. Document and present results for Concept, Pre-feasibility, and Feasibility studies, analyze site business plans, and support strategic planning and investment decision-making. Lead technical trade-off studies, develop CAPEX and OPEX estimates, and contribute to technical reports, investment memoranda, and executive presentations. Mentor junior staff and coordinate with Exploration, Operations, and Permitting teams to promote safe, sustainable project development practices.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mine Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Metallurgy, Chemical Engineering, or related engineering discipline
- Minimum 8 years of engineering and project development experience in mining, minerals processing, or heavy industrial projects
- Experience supporting studies through Initial Assessment, Concept, Pre-feasibility and Feasibility stages
- Demonstrated understanding of project management principles and stage-gate project development processes
- Working knowledge of exploration, mine planning, mineral processing, infrastructure development, and project execution strategies
- Ability to travel domestically and internationally
- Ability to work effectively across multiple disciplines, cultures, and geographic regions
Desired Qualifications
- Study experience working with professional services consultants
- Previous Heap Leach Facility engineering or design experience
- Previous work or project experience in Nevada
