Job Summary
Lead multiple concurrent cross-functional studies from Initial Assessment through Feasibility stages, developing scopes, managing technical consultants, and coordinating multidisciplinary engineering activities for mining, processing, and infrastructure projects. Source and manage internal and external resources to support Concept, Pre-feasibility, and Feasibility studies while developing study schedules, budgets, and resource plans. Analyze site business plans, lead technical trade-off studies, and prepare economic evaluations, technical reports, and executive presentations to drive investment decisions. Review deliverables for quality and consistency, coordinate with Environmental and Permitting teams, and mentor junior staff on complex assignments. Works independently with sound engineering judgment to promote safe, sustainable project development across SSR's global pipeline of assets in the USA, Canada, and Argentina.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mine Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Metallurgy, Chemical Engineering, or related engineering discipline
- Minimum 8 years of engineering and project development experience in mining, minerals processing, or heavy industrial projects
- Experience supporting studies through Concept, Initial Assessment, Pre-feasibility and Feasibility stages
- Demonstrated understanding of project management principles and stage-gate project development processes
- Working knowledge of exploration, mine planning, mineral processing, infrastructure development, and project execution strategies
- Ability to travel domestically and internationally
- Ability to work effectively across multiple disciplines, cultures, and geographic regions
Desired Qualifications
- Study experience working with professional services consultants is an advantage
- Engineering or operational Process Plant experience is an advantage
