Project Engineer

Job Summary
Directs, coordinates and exercises functional authority for planning, organization, control, integration and completion of engineering projects within area of assigned responsibility. Includes management of customer contracts, maintenance of drawings, coordination of changes, development of manufacturing plans (BOMs, routings, work instructions), procurement coordination, creation of shop drawings, vendor and customer interaction, development of tools and fixtures, and preparation of proposals and cost estimates. Emphasizes safety, teamwork, compliance with GSM ethics, and professional environment; requires experience in defense/aerospace PM in a job shop environment and engineering degree with preference for advanced degrees or professional engineer designation.
Required Qualifications
- Target 3-5 years of experience in project management responsibilities
- Target 3 years of experience in defense/aerospace related job shop machine/assembly environment
- BS in Mechanical, Quality, Industrial or Manufacturing Engineering discipline or equivalent experience
- Master’s degree a plus
- Proficiency in MS Office Products
- Experience with manufacturing processes to include: CNC machining, painting, welding, assembly
- Demonstrated proficiency in SolidWorks or equivalent CAD system
- Demonstrated understanding of GD&T
- Excellent human interaction skills
- Ability to obtain a security clearance a plus
- Professional engineer a plus
