Job Summary

Project Engineer at Glanbia will oversee business-sustaining and strategic capital projects from concept to completion. Responsibilities include presenting project updates to executives, coordinating cross-functional teams (PSM, Commercial, Operations, Quality, Safety), delivering projects on schedule and within budget, and developing action plans for resources, materials, and labor. The role drives improvements in cost, efficiency, yields, quality, and safety; troubleshoots technical issues with cross-functional teams; conducts voice-of-the-customer and design reviews; develops project packages for capex approval; manages third-party contractors; ensures compliance with Glanbia Quality and EHS requirements; develops piping/equipment layouts and process drawings; supports capital budgeting and 1-to-5-year site plans; participates in capital planning, and supports site leadership and committees. Based in Mooresville, IN, with potential for late-night or weekend work as projects require. Required Qualifications

  • BS in Engineering plus a minimum of 5 years of experience or equivalent years of experience
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both oral and in written form
  • Demonstrated ability to participate, support, develop and lead cross functional teams of people through projects to successful completion
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs
  • Proficient personal computer skills including electronic mail, word processing, spreadsheet, graphics, etc.
  • Basic knowledge of software tools for project management and engineering drawing (MS Project, Excel, AutoCAD etc.)
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and handle multiple projects simultaneously and delegate assignments to others
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
  • Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables
  • Comply with all safety policies, practices and procedures. Report all unsafe activities to supervisor and/or Human Resources
  • Participate in proactive team efforts to achieve departmental and company goals
  • Provide leadership to others through example and sharing of knowledge/skill
