Project Engineer

Job Summary
Analyze project specifications and performance requirements to determine appropriate equipment design. Provide engineering support to Project Management and Aftermarket teams, creating and reviewing technical datasheets and drawings. Direct or perform preparation of system layouts, schematics, and detailed drawings while conducting analytical calculations to ensure compliance with governing codes. Evaluate field installations and recommend design modifications, meeting local and government regulations. Participate in new product development strategies, interface directly with vendors and customers, and travel to sites for meetings or inspections as needed. Maintain current knowledge of product trends and attend internal meetings as required.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering
- 8+ years engineering experience
- Experience interfacing with marketing, sales, manufacturing, and vendors regarding solution of product problems and translation of customer requirements into product specifications
- Ability to demonstrate creativity and analytical engineering skills in the application of technologies to new projects
- Savvy working with multidisciplinary and intercultural teams
- Experience in European package supplies to meet European Norms and Standards (PED, Machine Directive and CE marking etc.)
- Ability to overcome obstacles to achieve goals and adapt to a changing environment
- Experience using MS Office, Excel, and other normal business software
- Proficient in the use of AutoCAD 3D or Solid Edge or Hicad
