Job Summary
Provide engineering, technical, and quality support on the Mernda Stabling Yard Upgrade project in Melbourne, reporting to the Project Manager and Senior Project Engineer. Balance technical, operational, and commercial responsibilities to ensure the yard extension is delivered on time, within budget, and to high quality standards. Attend to technical matters on site by developing solutions using mechanical and electrical concepts; plan work and resources to ensure timely progress; coordinate with other section staff; provide information and reports to superiors; supervise field works; attend weekly and monthly meetings including safety meetings; ensure compliance with Quality, Safety & Health and Environment policies; perform other duties as assigned by management. Required Qualifications
- Degree in Civil Engineering
- Minimum of 5 Years engineering experience in the rail industry
- Project planning / management skills
- Experienced and able to prepare and analyse tenders and estimates
- Demonstrated ability in proactively build relationships with key stakeholders and develop new business opportunities
- Ability to lead and inspire teams
- Well-developed conceptual, analytical and planning skills
