Job Summary
Project Engineer sought to provide field, technical, and administrative support for K-12 construction projects. Responsibilities include assisting Project Managers with day-to-day field coordination and contractor supervision; conducting site inspections to ensure quality and safety; supporting document control (RFIs, submittals, change orders, punch lists); reviewing shop drawings and contract documentation; maintaining and updating project schedules; assisting with closeout documentation and turnover; coordinating with district staff and contractors to minimize operational impacts; supporting cost tracking and budget review under PM supervision; maintaining project information in PMIS systems (Procore, Unifier, eBuilder); monitoring contractor safety measures and SWPPP BMPs; participating in technical reviews and site meetings; and engaging in training and professional development. Requires a Bachelor’s degree in CM/Architecture/Engineering or equivalent, 2–5 years of related experience, and proficiency with PMIS tools; CMIT certification and AutoCAD/Revit experience preferred.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Architecture, or Engineering (AEC) or equivalent combination of technical training and related experience
- 2–5 years of experience supporting construction projects, facilities maintenance, or public works environments preferred
- Experience with K–12 or public agency construction projects
- Familiarity with construction documents, schedules, inspections, and contractor coordination
- Construction Manager in Training (CMIT) certification preferred
- Working knowledge of PMIS (Unifier, Prolog, Procore, PM Web, and/or eBuilder). P6, AutoCAD and/or Revit experience is preferred
