Job Summary
Project Engineer role within the Order Engineering team focused on ensuring orders are understood, analyzed, scheduled, and released into Flowserve’s production process efficiently. Responsibilities include driving and owning engineering activities, preparing and reviewing engineering data, performing engineering studies and calculations, coordinating cross-functional activities with Flowserve departments, collaborating with business units and GTEC Engineers to improve customer satisfaction and employee engagement, and maintaining strong collaboration with the project team. Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical/Chemical Engineering or Engineering Technology, 3-5 years of related experience, proficiency with CAD (3D modeling from 2D drawings), solid understanding of mechanical design principles (fluid flow, mechanics of material, drawing and machining practices), excellent communication and organizational skills, attention to detail, ability to prioritize multiple tasks, and strong English communication skills.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering or Engineering Technology
- 3-5 years of related experience
- Strong knowledge and use of CAD software with emphasis on 3D model creation from 2D drawings
- Academic knowledge of mechanical design principles including fluid flow, mechanics of material, drawing and machining practices
- Strong verbal and written communication skills and proficiency with MS Office Suite software
- Demonstrated ability for attention to detail, meeting of due dates, advanced organizational skills, and the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
- Demonstrated analytical capability to evaluate machinery form, fit, and function in areas such as strength and thermal loading, bolt, gasket, and bearing specification and approval, and recommendation with analysis of test data and instrumentation outputs
- Advance English verbal and in written form
- Collaborative interpersonal skills
- Demonstrated practical (hands-on) knowledge of mechanical design principles including fluid flow, mechanics of material, drawing and machining practices
