Job Summary
Meet with engineering and field crews to review production schedules and confirm materials, equipment, and resources. Analyze shop drawings, design specifications, and project data to provide technical input for work plans and scheduling. Identify risks impacting budget or schedule, then evaluate daily production and projections to track performance. Update project schedules weekly for owner and management reporting while preparing and managing three-week work plans. Initiate and manage Requests for Information (RFIs), remit accurate project quantities using cost coding, and manage invoicing with the accounting team. Review certificates, permits, and Job Hazard Analyses to ensure safety compliance. Coordinate subcontractor work methods, schedules, and crews as needed. Bachelor's degree and five years of construction engineering experience required. Salary ranges from $100,000 to $115,000 annually.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in a related field
- 5+ years construction engineering experience
- Able to identify budget and project costs and recommend options to mitigate project delays
- Knowledge of design build and other alternative build techniques
- Knowledge of financial reporting methods, quantity tracking methods and cost coding
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in resource monitoring techniques (i.e. cost accounting, basic estimating) and construction technology, process systems and/or structures preferred
- Knowledge of construction scheduling and production time management preferred
