Job Summary
Review contract and specifications in their entirety, assist the Project Manager and Superintendent with schedule preparations, quantity reporting, and cost forecasting. Obtain pricing from subcontractors and vendors, requisition equipment, and coordinate with suppliers to resolve project challenges. Manage document control, including submittal schedules and project record drawings, while reviewing daily reports for accuracy. Prepare technical submittal lists, NPDES permits, and progress schedules, ensuring compliance with inspections, survey staking, and utility locations. Issue correspondence regarding revised plans and specifications, assist with monthly billing and change order processing, and support project closeout. This project-based role in St. Petersburg, FL, supports Prince Contracting's civil construction leadership across Florida.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in a related field
- 2+ years of construction engineering experience
- Beginner knowledge of construction equipment & techniques
- Beginner knowledge of drawing & specifications
- Beginner knowledge of building materials
- Beginner knowledge of required standards applicable to the project
- Ability to assume responsibility
- Ability to interface and communicate effectively with others
- Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently and effectively in a fast-paced environment
