Job Summary
Meet with engineering and field crews to review production schedules, shop drawings, and design specifications. Provide technical input for work plans and schedules while evaluating daily production, budget projections, and risk elements. Prepare and manage three-week work plans, initiate Requests for Information, and remit accurate project quantities using assigned cost coding. Coordinate subcontractor methods, crews, and required permits and Job Hazard Analyses. Update weekly project schedules for owner and management reporting. This role supports the $4.6B SR 400 Express Lanes project in Atlanta, a public-private partnership delivering design, construction, and long-term operation.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in a related field
- 5+ years construction engineering experience
- Able to delegate and assign work to engineering team to progress the project production forward
- Advanced knowledge of contract specifications and quality assurance practices
- Able to identify budget and project costs and recommend options to mitigate project delays
- Knowledge of financial reporting methods, quantity tracking methods and cost coding
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in resource monitoring techniques (i.e. cost accounting, basic estimating) and construction technology, process systems and/or structures preferred
- Specialized, technical knowledge of design build or other alternative build techniques
- Knowledge of construction scheduling and production time management preferred
