Job Summary
Develop a procurement schedule, integrate it with the project CPM schedule, and procure necessary material and equipment. Coordinate submittals with other trades, review all submittals for compliance with contract documents, and maintain "As-built" contract documents including operation and maintenance manuals. Administer budgeting and cost control processes to ensure project completion within the approved budget while preventing and mitigating claims. Prepare change orders, distribute executed documents to company and subcontractor field personnel, and maintain various project logs. Supervise members of the project team and assist with the supervision and/or training of Field Engineers.
Required Qualifications
- An advanced knowledge of construction engineering technology, codes, standards, etc.
- in-depth understanding of the interdependence and relationship between other functional units
- Four-year construction-related degree
- equivalent technical training
- related experience
- minimum of three to four years of similar construction engineering experience
- 5+ years of electrical construction projects
- excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- demonstrated ability to manage a team of varied disciplines
- skill/ability to supervise and/or train Field Engineer positions
- Ability to wear personal protective equipment
- Must be able to comply with all safety standards and procedures
