Job Summary
As an Electrical Project Engineer (PE), you will act as a technical expert in a multi-discipline project team focusing on power distribution, lighting, fire alarm, and voice/data systems across various facility types. You will serve as the lead electrical engineer for projects, producing design/construction drawings and specifications, and directly interface with clients on project electrical matters. Your role includes overseeing electrical design tasks using REVIT and AutoCAD, ensuring work is completed within budget and on schedule, and assisting in the development of subordinate staff in electrical design best practices.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or Architectural Engineering with electrical focus from an ABET-accredited university
- 4 years minimum of documented applicable experience working on facilities similar to those described
- Registered Professional Engineer in the State of NC with current NCEES
- Strong knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite of software, as well as Bluebeam
- Significant applicable experience using Autodesk REVIT
- Experience with AutoCAD is preferred
- Must maintain a high level of precision and accuracy and be methodical in approach to work
- Valid driver's license with an acceptable motor vehicle and criminal record
Desired Qualifications
- Experience leading the design efforts of subordinate staff
- Excellent Client communication skills
- Strong knowledge of the National Electric Code (NEC)
