Job Summary
Oversee construction projects from conception to completion by observing site work, reviewing documents, and communicating with staff, contractors, and clients. Perform engineering calculations for project analysis and design using electronic tools like GIS, BIM, and models. Assist in creating cost estimates and instruct technicians on drafting. Conduct field investigations ranging from visual observations to detailed measurements with specialized equipment. This role requires a Professional Engineering License and four years of post-graduate mechanical engineering experience. The salary ranges from $79,000 to $126,500 per year. Candidates must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Architectural Engineering or related field
- Four years of relevant, post-graduate mechanical engineering experience
- Knowledge of the philosophies, principles, practices, and techniques of engineering
- Proficiency with digital tools, which may include Microsoft Office, GIS, BIM, or others
- Advanced interpersonal skills for facilitating relationships with colleagues
- Creative problem-solving skills to solve new and challenging problems
- Ability to mentor less experienced staff
