Project Engineer (EIT)

Job Summary
Lead the design, development, and implementation of engineering solutions for projects, creating and reviewing detailed drawings, specifications, and documentation. Monitor project progress, prepare plans and calculations, and ensure safety compliance with regulations and quality standards. Work with senior staff to identify risks and develop modification strategies while communicating status and issues to management and clients. This role operates under a licensed PE's supervision, focusing on retail sector deliverables from concept to final delivery. Proficiency in AutoCAD/Civil3D is highly desired, along with MS Office and project management software.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related focus
- Entry-level/recent graduates and/or junior-level candidates eligible
- EIT highly desired and/or ability to quickly acquire post start
- Strong knowledge of civil engineering principles specific to retail projects
- Proficiency in AutoCAD is highly desired for this position
- Proficiency in MS Office, including Word, Excel and Outlook and familiarity with Deltek Vision and Smartsheet or similar software's platforms
- ICPR, AutoCAD/Civil3D, WaterCAD, and WaterGEMS experience is a plus
- Ability to exercise critical thinking and good independent judgement
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with a team
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to effectively multi-task and work on multiple projects while adhering to project schedules and budgets
- Flexibility in work schedule to accommodate project deadlines
- Detail oriented, quality conscious, reliable and self-motivated
- The person in this position may require sitting or standing for long periods of time and lifting up to 25 pounds
Desired Qualifications
- This role is open to EIT level candidates and/or recent graduates positioned for quick receipt of EIT along with junior-level candidates with 1+ year of experience supporting civil design
- Highly desired skills include proficiency in AutoCAD/Civil3D with experience in areas of stormwater and land development
- We are seeking a candidate who brings a level of expertise working with clients in the retail sector
- Proficiency in AutoCAD is highly desired for this position
