Job Summary
Interpret project plans, specifications, and details for subcontractors and craft persons. Implement pre-construction quality plans, manage construction permits, and oversee a three-phase inspection system. Develop and maintain material tracking lists, concrete placement logs, and non-conformance reports. Manage contract documents, including RFIs, change orders, and correspondence, while coordinating subcontractor details such as insurance verification and final payments. Lead team members through coaching, feedback, and performance management. This role operates at Level 1 or 2, with compensation determined by experience and location. Base pay ranges from $84,100 to $113,500 for Level 1 and $93,400 to $126,100 for Level 2, with potential increases for specific offices. Candidates must hold a bachelor's degree in construction engineering or equivalent experience, possess a driver's license, and be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Construction, Civil or Architectural Engineering, Construction Management, or equivalent experience
- Current driver's license
- Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple project tasks
- Basic understanding of construction law and business practices
- Strong teamwork, initiative, communication, problem-solving, and leadership skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, project, and relevant web applications
- Ability to interpret and communicate Mortenson policies
- Active listening and effective communication skills, open to diverse input and feedback
- Must be currently legally authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship for employment visa status
