Job Summary
Interpret project plans, specifications, and details for subcontractors and craft persons. Implement pre-construction quality plans, manage construction permits, and oversee a three-phase inspection system. Develop material tracking lists, manage contract documents including RFIs and change orders, and coordinate subcontractor details such as insurance verification and final payments. Lead team members through coaching and performance management while building relationships across diverse organizational levels. This role offers opportunities at Level 1 and Level 2, with base pay ranging from $84,100 to $126,100 depending on experience and location. Accepted locations include Cedar Rapids, Omaha, and Lincoln, Nebraska.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Construction, Civil or Architectural Engineering, Construction Management, or equivalent experience
- Current driver's license
- Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple project tasks
- Basic understanding of construction law and business practices
- Strong teamwork, initiative, communication, problem-solving, and leadership skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, project, and relevant web applications
- Ability to interpret and communicate Mortenson policies
- Active listening and effective communication skills, open to diverse input and feedback
- Must be currently legally authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship for employment visa status
