Project Engineer

Job Summary

Conduct daily and weekly site inspections for safety and quality, including reviewing Safe Plans of Action, issuing hot work permits, and performing tool and equipment checks. Compile and distribute progress meeting agendas, minutes, and weekly status updates while tracking project progress through daily reports. Manage pre-construction activities by developing scope specifications, creating project schedules, soliciting bids, and conducting pre-bid walkthroughs. Review and input contractor submittals, shop drawings, and RFIs for the architect, and prepare building permit applications. Coordinate with customers and subcontractors, address critical safety concerns, and implement corrective action plans as needed.

Required Qualifications

  • Full-time FLSA-exempt position requiring 40 work hours per week
  • Ability to work more than 40 hours if needed
  • Daily travel to one or more job sites
