Job Summary
Project Engineer at Crane Aerospace & Electronics in Lynnwood, WA. Lead cross-functional engineering efforts for aerospace/defense programs, providing engineering design evaluations, preparing schedules and cost estimates, translating customer specifications into design documentation, and supporting prototype-to-production transitions. Collaborate with marketing, manufacturing, quality assurance, purchasing, and customers to ensure designs meet electrical, environmental, and internal manufacturing requirements; may lead a team of engineers and provide technical support throughout the engineering process, including development testing and customer interactions. Maintain compliance with industry policies and regulatory requirements and interface with customers to develop specifications. Requires BS in engineering and 2–7 years of experience (Sr. Project Engineer requires 7+ years), with strong project management, documentation, and leadership skills; ability to operate in a matrixed organization and coordinate contributions across engineering teams. Required Qualifications
- BS degree in engineering
- 2 to 7 years of project engineering experience (Sr. 7+ years for Sr. Project Engineer)
- Knowledge of concepts, practices and procedures related to project and program management in a technical environment
- Strong analytical and business acumen with a working understanding of finance
- Excellent documentation, organization and time management skills
- Ability to lead complex projects through complete cycle in a matrixed organization
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team environment
