Project Engineer - Commercial Construction

Job Summary
Maintain project tracking reports to monitor productivity and labor utilization while creating and maintaining internal project schedules. Prepare complete, accurate, and timely submittals based on drawings and specifications, then coordinate with the Project Team to track approved changes. Schedule construction meetings with the ACI Team, subcontractors, vendors, and customers, and solicit proposals prior to submission deadlines. Submit building permit applications, follow up on review progress, and prepare correspondence with clients, architects, and engineers. Assist the Project Manager in achieving quality, schedule, budget, and safety goals by documenting subcontractor progress and notifying management of issues affecting performance.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in engineering field
- 2+ years of experience in a commercial construction environment
- equivalent combination of education and experience

- Superior communication and interpersonal (tact, diplomacy, influence, etc.) skills

Desired Qualifications
- Experience as a Project Engineer on heavy commercial construction projects
- MS Project or other scheduling software tools
- 3D modeling experience (Revit, AutoCAD, Inventor, Navisworks)
- PDF Editing software (Bluebeam, Adobe)
- Familiarity with cloud based PM software
- Prior military experience
