Project Engineer — Climate Change Adaptation (Sentosa Island Study)

Job Summary
Project Engineer to support a climate change adaptation study in a coastal urban environment, contributing to planning, coordination, and execution of engineering assessments; develop engineering solutions for coastal protection, drainage improvement, and flood mitigation; prepare technical reports, calculations, drawings, and design documentation; contribute to climate risk assessments (sea-level rise, coastal inundation, storm surge, extreme weather) and modelling (hydrological, hydraulic, coastal); analyse environmental, geospatial, and engineering data using GIS and numerical models; collaborate with climate scientists, coastal engineers, and urban planners; liaise with internal teams, consultants, and external stakeholders; contribute to presentations and client discussions; explore sustainable, nature-based, and hybrid engineering solutions and integrate climate resilience into infrastructure planning.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Coastal Engineering, or related field
- 2–6 years of relevant experience in infrastructure or coastal engineering projects
- Experience in coastal or island environments is an advantage
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Coastal Engineering, or related field
- Master’s degree in climate science, water engineering, or sustainability (preferred)
- Experience in coastal or island environments is an advantage
- 2–6 years of relevant experience in infrastructure or coastal engineering projects
- Flood risk management or drainage design
- Climate adaptation or resilience studies
