Job Summary
Project Engineer focusing on civil roadway and multimodal transportation design. You will be part of an interdisciplinary team delivering roadway reconstructions, streetscapes, and multimodal projects, using AutoCAD and MicroStation to produce construction documents and manage tasks from concept development, design review, bid package development, permitting, to construction management. The role involves signing and pavement marking plans, maintenance of traffic, and traffic signal plans, with opportunities to work on road diet analyses, multimodal traffic studies, roundabout studies, and trail/ roadway integration. Strong leadership, collaboration, and communication skills are essential, as is a passion for sustainable, livable communities. The Minneapolis office offers flexible scheduling with up to two days per week remote work, and is conveniently located with access to transit and bike routes.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in civil engineering
- Professional Engineering license preferred
- 5+ years of experience in civil engineering with transportation focus
- Proficiency in MicroStation (including InRoads/OpenRoads) and AutoCAD (Civil 3D)
- Experience coordinating utility, right-of-way, street lighting, traffic signals, and landscape/hardscape layout
- Experience developing construction documents and cost estimates
- Interest in multimodal and active transportation design
