Project Engineer (Civil Structural)

Job Summary
Lead the design, analysis, and detailing of civil and structural components for landed residential developments, ensuring structural integrity, safety, and cost efficiency. Act as the Qualified Person (PE) for structural submissions, preparing and endorsing plans to authorities like BCA for approval while verifying compliance with building codes and statutory requirements. Conduct periodic site inspections to confirm works align with approved plans and geotechnical reports, collaborating with architects and contractors to resolve technical issues and optimize constructability. Identify structural and geotechnical risks early, developing mitigation strategies to prevent delays or safety concerns, and issue certifications such as TOP/CSC upon project close-out. Provide on-site engineering solutions for unforeseen conditions including soil instability or retaining wall challenges. Requires a registered PE with 6+ years of experience in landed residential projects and proficiency in ETABS or Prokon.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum Bachelor's Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering
- Registered Professional Engineer (PE) with the Professional Engineers Board (PEB)
- At least 6 years of relevant experience
- Experience in Addition & Alteration (A&A) works
- Proficiency in structural analysis software such as ETABS, Prokon, or equivalent platforms
- Strong knowledge of geotechnical considerations related to landed properties
- Strong analytical and critical-thinking skills
- Decisive and solution-oriented mindset
- Effective communication skills with the ability to coordinate across multidisciplinary teams
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in Addition & Alteration (A&A) works is highly advantageous
