Project Engineer - Civil/Site - Indianapolis

Job Summary
Prepare conceptual, preliminary, and final site design plans for commercial, institutional, and public projects, including grading, drainage, utility, and stormwater management designs. Develop erosion control and regulatory compliance plans while performing hydrologic and hydraulic calculations for stormwater conveyance and detention systems. Prepare and review construction documents, technical specifications, cost estimates, and permit applications, coordinating design activities with internal disciplines, subconsultants, and clients. Mentor junior engineers and CAD designers, ensuring technical accuracy and adherence to standards, and provide technical support during permitting and construction administration phases. Participate in project meetings with clients, contractors, and review agencies. Requires a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering and a Registered Professional Engineer (PE) license.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering (BSCE required)
- Registered Professional Engineer (PE)
- Minimum of 4 years of progressive experience in civil/site design or municipal infrastructure
- Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D and related design software
- Knowledge of IDEM, DOT, and local stormwater and utility standards
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for client and team interaction
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
- Ability to lift up to 15 pounds
- Consistent, reliable attendance and punctuality
