Job Summary
Civil/Project Engineer to support design and planning of complex wastewater and combined sewer projects. Responsibilities include engineering design and consulting, hydraulic and hydrologic calculations, preparation of design and construction documents, cost estimating, and participation in project deliverables presentations to clients. Requires PE license, a B.S. in Civil Engineering (MS preferred), and 0-5+ years of municipal water/wastewater experience. Will mentor design staff and collaborate with an interdisciplinary team on urban infrastructure projects. Washington, DC area-based role with office work in the DC environment.
Required Qualifications
- B.S. degree in Civil Engineering is required
- PE license is required
- 0-5+ years of experience in water and wastewater engineering consulting
- experience in developing designs and construction contract documents for complex infrastructure projects
- experience in the study and design of combined sewers, hydraulic design calculations and hydraulic modeling coordination
- experience in site design for urban infrastructure projects
- ability to coordinate with interdisciplinary team (structural, geotechnical, electrical, mechanical, architecture)
- strong communication and technical writing skills
