Job Summary
Project Engineer at Ware Malcomb delivering commercial and residential land development projects from inception to completion. You will prepare technical drawings (Site Plans, Grading Plans, Utility Plans, Erosion Control Plans, Stormwater Management Design) for permitting and construction, assist PM to plan, schedule, and coordinate project phases, prepare stormwater calculations, assist in processing permits, provide construction phase services (site visits, review shop drawings), assist in reviewing local, county, state, and federal codes, and coordinate with Ware Malcolm consultants and client consultants to produce a complete, coordinated set of contract documents and specifications for permit and construction. Proficiency in AutoCAD and Civil3D, with Florida project experience, and a strong focus on collaboration and design excellence are required.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or a related program is required
- EI (Engineering Intern) Certificate required
- 3+ years of experience within the Civil Engineering field
- Experience working on land / site development projects required
- Experience drafting stormwater drainage reports and completing drainage design using H&H stormwater modeling software such as ICPR (StormWise), PONDS, HydroCAD, and/or Hydraflow for Florida projects preferred
- Strong AutoCAD and Civil3D skills required
- Strong computer and written and verbal communication skills are essential
