Job Summary
Project Engineer at CAGE will prepare, schedule, and coordinate design documents and calculations for site development tasks (site planning, stormwater management calculations, preliminary/final construction documents, stormwater pollution prevention plans, permit documents) under the guidance of a Project Manager. Responsibilities include client communications to build trust, coordinating with subconsultants, attending client/municipal meetings and public hearings, developing project schedules, ensuring timely delivery, and mentoring junior staff. Requires a BS in Engineering, 3+ years of experience, CAD Civil 3D proficiency, and a solid understanding of site development design; EIT/FE exam is preferred. Hybrid work option available, compensation $80,000-$95,000, with a benefits package and growth opportunities.
Required Qualifications
- BS in Engineering from an accredited university
- 3+ years of experience
- EIT credentials (passing of the FE exam) preferred, but not required
- Proficient with CAD Civil 3D software
- Firm understanding of engineering design for all aspects of site development such as site grading design, utility design, and storm management design
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to guide and mentor junior staff
- Meets deadlines and coordinates with project team
