Project Engineer - Aviation Engineering

Job Summary
Conduct design work for aviation construction projects, including taxiways, runways, and aprons, while utilizing Civil 3D for modeling and analysis. Deliver plans, quantities, specifications, and reviews that comply with local, state, and FAA regulations. Coordinate daily tasks with the Project Manager, attend client meetings, and manage construction site visits, RFIs, and design revisions. Assist in developing engineering production documents, cost estimates, and final bid packages, ensuring all deliverables meet accuracy and conformity to engineering standards. Contribute to internal meetings, risk assessments, and vendor bid evaluations while preparing technical reports and Typical Section Packages.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's in Civil Engineering from an accredited college or university
- 2-5 years of experience in Aviation engineering
- Demonstrated ability to learn and apply civil engineering fundamentals to academic or real-world projects
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including ability to produce well written technical reports and regulatory compliance documents
- Ability to provide practical and results oriented technical solutions for projects
- Microsoft Office Suite with proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
Desired Qualifications
- Engineer-in-Training certification preferred
- Familiar with AutoCAD commands and design features
- Strong aviation/transportation and site/civil technical background, including knowledge of FAA requirements preferred
