Job Summary
Lead the technical delivery of automation projects, providing hands-on development of PLC, HMI, and SCADA programs; design control systems including panel layouts, instrumentation, and system architecture; create control narratives and sequences of operation; lead FATs, commissioning, and field support with some travel; manage project scope, schedule, and budget while coordinating engineering resources; serve as the primary technical contact for clients, leading design reviews and project updates; support proposal development, project scoping, and estimating; collaborate with clients and guide small engineering teams through design, development, and commissioning phases.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Computer Science
- 10+ years of experience in industrial automation, controls, or systems integration
- 3+ years leading projects with direct client interaction
- Experience with PLC platforms (Allen-Bradley, Siemens, Modicon, GE)
- Experience with HMI/SCADA platforms (Ignition, Wonderware, Cimplicity, FactoryTalk View)
- Knowledge of industrial networking, client/server systems, and testing/commissioning processes
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and project organization skills
