Job Summary
Manage project oversight by actively pursuing safety training, participating in the TRACK process, and attending daily meetings and field inspections. Initiate and maintain strong relationships with craft personnel, subcontractors, vendors, and the project management team while prioritizing tasks based on deadlines and material lead times. Track and update quantities to ensure accurate budgets, perform thorough invoice reviews, and prepare supporting documentation for change orders and requisitions. Beat the estimated budget by investigating issues, gathering input, and proposing solutions. This hands-on role requires navigating active job sites with uneven terrain and lifting up to 50 pounds, alongside desk time for document review. Success demands flexibility to work extended hours during critical phases and responsive communication for time-sensitive matters.
Required Qualifications
- Undergraduate degree in engineering, construction management, or related discipline; or similar field or equivalent work experience
- 3-5 years of relevant experience working on commercial or heavy civil construction projects from start to finish
- High degree of initiative, independence, personal responsibility, and integrity
- Willingness to speak up, listen up, ask open-ended questions, and learn from others
